Life Care Centers of America honored Steve DeBelle, senior executive director at Life Care Center of Longmont, Colorado, with one of two President’s Awards for its Mountain States Division on Aug. 24, 2015.
The President’s Award recognizes distinguished service in a long-term health care management role. The Mountain States Division includes 30 skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Hawaii.
DeBelle was praised for his steadfast leadership and commitment to service. He has spearheaded the fine dining program at Life Care Center of Longmont to provide restaurant-style meals cooked to order for residents. All three floors of the building have satellite kitchens.
The building excels clinically, as well, consistently ranking in the top 20 facilities in the company.
DeBelle has also been instrumental in the facility’s support of the Alzheimer’s Association through a local golf tournament and of the Parkinson’s community through the annual Parkinson’s symposium hosted at Life Care Center of Longmont.
“Steve DeBelle has demonstrated professional skill and compassion in dispatching his responsibilities to the associates, residents and families he serves,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “He has uniquely demonstrated a leadership style for others to emulate. This is a distinguished award to receive because it goes to the heart of our mission.”
Fifteen President’s Awards are presented annually to leaders of overall successful facilities or organizations within Life Care.
